The Article

Alrighty, so not to blatantly self-promote (again) . . . the link to our cover-girl article is up so I thought we should share it with our cyber friends who don't get to walk in every store in the state of Mississippi and see Katie and me staring up from the counter.  Seriously, this magazine is ubiquitous--I was in Jackson this week and it was everywhere.  I feel like Brangelina--should we now be known as "Katie Frances"? or "Skatie"?

Anyway, our favorite photographer Joey snapped our picture at the coffee shop last week.

Here's the article--and, the illustration on the top left was done by ME (Sarah Frances) not Katie (even though I'm sure she could do some great pix herself if she wanted).  They're going to run a correction in next month's magazine which is coming out soon and our tabloid fame will sadly come to an end. Sigh.

I LOVED the article. The one following was quite sad. But the whole article was awesome! YAY!!

As for Skatie - I LOVE it. I am always combining names. It is a habit of mine that I've picked up from celebrity mags and sites.

I already email my sis and call Lisa and Laura, LiLa. lol. I'm a big dork but for as long winded as I can be, I'm always nicknaming things for the sake of "brevity"...how ironic.

Great article, gals!!!! I think you both sound "wicked cool!" (I LOVE the word wicked!)

And my vote is def for Skatie!

This article was AMAZING, and that last author's story made me cry. I can't imagine losing one child, but two? It's just unthinkable. The strength that it would take to get through something like that is just astounding. That is just an incredible story. I bet she'll end up on Oprah and her books will be best-sellers.

Skatie (do you like how I've already adopted your new name?) this is just fabulous PR for you two. I see big things in your future!

PC - I can't wait to tell Laura that you're calling us LiLa. The fact that people even talk about us is kind of hilarious and we've never had a fun nickname before. Oh gosh, I'm starting to tear up again...Just so we know, do you and Little Ms. J have a duo nickname that we can use? Right now we've been referring to you as the funny sisters. Yeah it seems that we suck at both nicknames AND titles.

He better watch it. I'm feeling lucky today :-)

Anyone else doing it??

Hmmm...what about the PJ sistas!? Or maybe just Purple J. It sounds like some type of drug reference, but maybe that's a good thing...

SKATIE! Love it!

I'm so glad we finally got to see the article, but damn that ad for Nuke's shrimp po-boys! Now it's all I can think about...

Yay! I'm so excited for you guys! I want to move to Oxford! I already told my husband we need to make a pilgrimage to this fairy tale town that you guys brag about! And, I L-O-V-E Skatie! SF, very talented! Swishy is cool and I'm so curious to see some of your other illustrations. Where can I see them? Swishy has a little of the Tim Burton-esque feel to it - the exaggerated limbs and round faces and such. Love it!

Skatie - you guys are a powerhouse.
