People of Walmart

Today was quite a day. I'm crazy busy--and a bit discombobulated because of the three day weekend followed by the four day week. I can't remember who has ballet and who has tests and who has a soccer game (and what IS our coach's name???). Add to all of this the fact that I had to go to Walmart today. Where I saw things like this:

Now, sometimes, I go to the Walmart (it's very Southern to say "the" Walmart), and I see friends, cute moms with baby carriers, and college students looking for rubbermaid bins to organize their dorm rooms.

Today, I did not see any of those things.

I don't know if it had to do with the holiday weekend or what, but these people made me want to never leave the house again. I saw the women in their house shoes and curlers . . . the mommy yelling at her children to the degree that I almost called the police . . . the guy with the rebel flag bandana worn as a belt . . . the crazy bearded man who kept walking beside my shopping cart and looking into it while muttering some sort of mantra under his breath. . .

Okay, so I did not actually see the guy pictured above. I lifted his picture off of peopleofwalmart.com. But, I am sick, sick, sick that I didn't have my camera with me today. I could have contributed some doozies.

Next time.

Oh my god, "The Walmart!?" Love. Does it work for Target too? Because I love The Target.

Oh, The Walmart. haha!

Thank goodness I don't have to go there today. Wait. - nope. I need dog food. Perhaps I'll shoot a pic or two :-)

The last time I was at the Walmart (10 yrs ago), a father asked his son, "Do you wanna slap?"

You should write an essay about The Walmart. My aunt once followed a lady around Toys R Us because she was yelling at her kid. I was waiting for someone to take off a flip flop. Crazy.

i was totally thinking this guy was in the walmart at oxford! yikes! iv'e seen some things there that traumatized me as well. and you'd think...what with the tone the university sets for oxford, this would never happen. weird.

I'm with LiLa, I love The Target, but The Walmart has some crazy good deals so I will venture in now and again. And don't those people *ever* consult their mirror before they leave the house?

Paul: Do you think any kid has ever answered "yes" to that question??? ;)

Hilarious! I'm a Target fan myself. There was one day, though ... that I had the same type of experience there ... it made me quite frightened to go back! :-)

I can't figure that photo out. Is that soccer ball underwear? Or a soccer tat on his butt? What do you think?

I think it's definitely soccer ball panties, but we'd probably have to see him in person (yikes) to know for sure.

Corey--I've totally added The Walmart to our list!
