Are Y'all HUNGRY??

I am totally stealing this topic from the ADORABLE Stephanie Perkins. And if we have all of the same readers, then all will be bored...

Hopefully not.

But like Perk, I recently read THE HUNGER GAMES and love, love, loved it! And just like my delicious Twilight, there is a love triangle where two boys are in love with ONE girl. mmm... I love that.

Therefore, Perk has pointed out the need to pick sides. Which boy do you want Katniss to fall for? Gale or Peeta? (Henceforth referred to as Team Gale and Team Peeta.) I think I might be a Peeta girl. And Stephanie swears she's a Gale girl... Aaahhh the rivalries have begun. I can't wait for book two!

Who do Y'all like?

P.S. Don't worry SF, it's not sappy like Twilight. It's like Survivor with kids - who have to kill each other. LOL. Oh my goodness, there's no way to make it sound good, but it is! I promise.

P.P.S. I cannot let this weekend go by without wishing you all a Happy Easter! Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend!

Katie

Ahh! How amazing was this book? I just finished it last week and I'm so annoyed that we have to wait until September for the next book in the series.

I think I'm sort of a Team Gale girl myself. Peeta just doesn't seem like he'd be enough of a challenge for Katniss, you know? She needs someone who is going to push her and he just seems too soft...

It's the same reason why I think Kate and Sawyer should be together on Lost. Every strong woman needs a strong man, right? I mean how annoyed would you be if your husband just did everything you told him to do? Well, maybe that's not a good example...

Hmmm... you have made a good point. I can't wait to see what Gale does when she returns. I might need to re-read the end.

Ooo! so fun!

I keep hearing good things about this book. I'm going to have to read it.

Tee hee hee. I'm Team Gale, but not without sadness for Peeta. I'm predicting a Tragic Sacrifice, or something like that. Jim is entirely on Peeta's side, and will I think be outraged if Katniss does not end up with him :-) I don't understand why some readers think that Gale and Katniss are going to turn out to be related. Where is that coming from???

Anyway, we're trying to weasel an ARC out of Scholastic, but no luck! :-(

P.S. Katie, about Freedom: the awesome thing about it is, once you turn in ON, you can't turn it OFF, you just have to wait it out. You can reboot your computer, but I haven't felt the need to check email so powerfully as to do THAT.

Alright Alright. I must reconsider GALE. I loved him before I met Peeta. Perhaps I'm fickle :-)

But don't you just love how much Peeta loves her? I think he'll put up a fight. Now, if he doesn't I don't like him anymore. I love a fighter. Come on Peeta! Fight for her!!!

enough of my koo koo rant...

LAINI! I must try this freedom! I am impressed that you can't turn it off. That's genius! The freedom peeps must have suffered themselves. haha. Thanks for the tip.

And for those of you who don't know what FREEDOM is... You'll have to find it on the Wizard's blog. (That's code for Laini Taylor. In my sidebar)

OR maybe I can post about it one day after I try it.

Happy Easter everyone!

I cannot even comment on this post. I feel like you people are speaking in code, so I must read the book so that I can partake.

Later, sf

Just finished it last night. My heart was racing so fast I had to do breathing exercises to calm down enough for sleeping. LOVED IT. Can't wait for the next one!

OH and I'm totally a Gale girl,I think. I love Peeta too just for how much he loves her. That devotion is infectious. And can Gale ever really understand Katniss the same way as Peeta after what they've been through? But maybe she's looking for forget... Hmm.

And oh my, when Peeta realized she was still playing "the game" and his poor little heart broke. I was with him. It's that 'grass is greener' effect, we always want what's least available to us, I think. I can't decide.

Team Gale/Peeta?
